Based on extensive research, the publication incorporates insights from NBSAP analyses, surveys, and consultations, including a key side event at the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) Geneva meetings in March 2022 and subsequent workshops in April 2022. The guide, complemented by a video, results from collaboration led by the Secretariat of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) at UNU-IAS, with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, and the University of Tokyo Institute for Future Initiatives. A detailed overview of its development is provided on the IPSI website.
UNU-IAS welcomes feedback based on practical implementation challenges and case studies to improve future editions of the guide. To contribute, please email your input to isi@unu.edu.
