Corporación Ambiental y Forestal del Pacífico (CORFOPAL)

CORFOPAL is a private NGO legally established in 1999 by a group of 10 people of Dagua, a municipality of the Cauca Valley state, who were worried about the environmental situation of their city and were interested in generating knowledge and change, and in promoting the protection of the renewable natural resources of the Cauca Valley and a sustainable development of the region. The organization’s success is due to the jointed work with the different communities involved in each project, taking into account their needs, managing resources and working hand in hand with public and private organizations, in order to improve the conservation of the natural resources as well as the quality of life of the citizens and communities.
