The secretariat of the Satoyama Development Mechanism (SDM) has opened a call for proposals for SDM2022. SDM is an IPSI collaborative activity operated by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), UNU-IAS, host of the IPSI Secretariat, and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan. It serves as a financing mechanism to facilitate the implementation of activities under IPSI. In light of the global momentum towards 2030 and beyond, the SDM framework was renewed to enhance the effectiveness of projects. This year, grants of up to USD 20,000 will be given to five selected projects. The length of the project period will not be more than one year. 

The deadline for applications is Friday, 12 August 2022.
