2014.06.02

Progress Report coverThe  CBD COP Fifth Meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Review of Implementation (WGRI-5) will be held from 16 to 20 June 2014, and the Eighteenth Meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA-18) of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP) will be held from 23 to 23 June 2014 in Montreal, Canada. Both of these meetings are important events in the implementation of the CBD as it moves toward full ratification.

IPSI is happy to announce that a progress report of the partnership has been included as one of the official information documents for both WGRI-5 and SBSTTA-18 and made available on the WGRI-5 website here and the SBSTTA-18 website here. This is one more piece of the growing evidence that IPSI is being recognized as an effective mechanism for the achievement of the objectives of the CBD and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets. IPSI is proud to have been recognized by the CBD Secretariat, and will continue to assist in the full implementation of the Convention in any way possible.

The progress report is also available on the IPSI website here.
