Call for Proposals: “Satoyama Development Mechanism”
As one of the IPSI Collaborative Activities, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), the United Nations University Institute for Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS), and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ) are pleased to announce an open call for proposals under the “Satoyama Development Mechanism (SDM) 2013” to facilitate further implementation of IPSI activities. The objectives of the SDM are to: (1) Promote the implementation of activities under the IPSI Strategy and Plan of Action (2) Promote the development of model practices for living in harmony with nature through sustainable use of SEPLS and contribution to the Aichi Biodiversity Targets, and (3) Provide an incentive for IPSI members to strengthen partnerships and to generate a knock-on effect from joint activities for the sustainable use of SEPLS. One or two projects will be selected under each of four project types, and will be provided with a maximum of approximately 10,000 USD for their implementation. Please refer here for further details, and we look forward to receiving your proposals.IPSI Welcomes Five New Member Organizations
