SDM is an IPSI collaborative activity operated by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), UNU-IAS –host of the IPSI Secretariat, and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan. In light of the global momentum towards 2030 and beyond, the SDM framework was renewed to better support SEPLS projects. This year, grants of up to USD 20,000 will be given to five selected projects.

2022 High-Level Political Forum: The Satoyama Initiative and Building Back Better
|
|
|
|
Join us at our side event at the 2022 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The event will highlight the role of the Satoyama Initiative in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. It will discuss contributions to the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Participation is open to all. Please register in advance. The Change Fellows will participate in a series of online lectures, web-based practical training sessions, field trips and an experiential Hackathon. Fellows who have completed the Fellowship are eligible to enter into a regional prize competition with innovative rural sustainability proposals. Two free taster events are now available with the theme of socio-ecological landscape planning and management.

Global Climate and SDG Synergy Conference
|
|
The IPSI Secretariat will organise a side event to discuss the nexus between biodiversity, SDGs, and climate change in the context of socio-ecological landscapes and seascapes.
