For those interested in becoming an IPSI member or just looking for more information, we recommend the following publications.

The IPSI Handbook is a booklet bringing together all of IPSI’s strategic documents, including the IPSI Charter, IPSI Operational Guidelines, IPSI Strategy and Plan of Action 2013-2018, and is a good way to learn about IPSI’s functioning, especially for new members.

For an overall view of IPSI, its members and activities, the IPSI Booklet is a great place to start. For more in-depth information about the concepts behind the Satoyama Initiative, try the booklet Biodiversity and LivelihoodsIn Harmony with Nature is a leaflet that offers a more concise version of these concepts.

For a quick explanation of the concepts behind IPSI, the brochure The Satoyama Initiative, along with the original text of the Paris Declaration on the Satoyama Initiative show how the initiative developed.

Individual links are also available for the IPSI Charter and Operational Guidelines, and the Strategy and Plan of Action 2013-2018.

Finally, as members are expected to submit a Case Study within six months of membership, the Case Study Guidelines give an idea of what an IPSI Case Study should include. We hope you will find this selection of publications helpful. For more information, please see the other publications on these pages, or contact the IPSI Secretariat.
