M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), Community Agrobiodiversity Centre


The Community Agro-biodiversity Centre (CAbC) of MSSRF is working with the purpose of Community Biodiversity Management in Wayanad district of Kerala since 1997. The activities revolve around MSSRF’s strategy of pro- Poor, pro- Nature and pro- Women strategies. In the district, we have undertaken science and technology oriented interventions, in three Key Areas (i) Biodiversity (special emphasis to agrobiodiversity) Conservation ; (ii) Education, Communication & Training in the area of Community Biodiversity Management, and (iii) Sustainable Livelihoods and Food Security.
