IPSI, the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative, promotes collaboration in the conservation and restoration of sustainable human-influenced natural environments (Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes: SEPLS) through broader global recognition of their value.

1. To empower and build the capacities of rural communities in environmental and educational development   programs.
2. To sensitize and animate rural communities on the need to preserve and cultivate trees.
3. To build the capacity of rural communities through training, education towards human development and
overall empowerment.
4. To provide research services in policy analysis, policy dialogue and advocacy to development partners.
5.     To liaise with financial institutions and other development agencies in the   provision of inputs, equipments and credit to rural communities, engage in environmental programs.
6. Improving Forest Governance through community level participation and community based forest forum.
