Ecosystem Services Research Group, Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW)

The activities of the Ecosystem Services Research Group at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences & Humanities (BBAW) are dedicated to the study of the social-ecological interactions between market-based instruments, land use, and ecosystem services in Central European cultural landscapes. BBAW is an interdisciplinary association of scholars who collaborate with scientists world-wide, the activities focusing on research in the humanities, exploring future scientific and social issues on an interdisciplinary level, as well as promoting dialogue between science and society. In a rather innovative form, the Academy works with Academy members as well as external and talented young experts on interdisciplinary topics that are relevant to the future of society.
