International Satoyama Intiative

IPSI, the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative, promotes collaboration in the conservation and restoration of sustainable human-influenced natural environments (Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes: SEPLS) through broader global recognition of their value.

A Rocha Ghana

Established in 1999, A Rocha Ghana (ARG), formerly Eden Conservation Society, has emerged as a committed environmental NGO providing practical conservation interventions aimed at contributing to the sustainable management of important ecological habitats and initiating programmes aimed at facilitating target community’s ability to adapt to current trends in Climate Change.

ARG is part of a network of 20 national organisations forming the A Rocha International. ARG recognizes the inextricable link between modern man and the survival of the earth’s flora and fauna. Hence in seeking to conserve important biological areas, alternatives are sought for communities who live near the resources and whose livelihoods depend on them. Our core commitments are: Christian, Conservation, Community, Cross-cultural and Cooperation.
