IPSI, the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative, promotes collaboration in the conservation and restoration of sustainable human-influenced natural environments (Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes: SEPLS) through broader global recognition of their value.

Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center


Recognizing today’s interdependent world, the Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (hereinafter OECC) will encourage and promote global environmental protection through our cooperation activities. OECC was founded in 1990, gathering corporations engaged in consultancy, monitoring / analysis service on environment, engineering / manufacturing firms, local governments and other non-profit organizations with the purpose of providing Japan’s international environmental cooperation to developing countries from the standpoint of the non-governmental sector.
