Institution for Marine and Island Cultures (MIC) conducts multi-disciplinary researches on humanities and environmental science in relation to marine (coastal) and island ecosystems in Asia-Pacific region. Since 2009, the institution is accomplishing Korean Humanities (HK) as long-term national project titled ‘Humanities of Island – Switch of space recognition paradigm in the history of civilization’.
